Wider burgers have better filling options too. Instead of stacking everything on top of each other so every bite is basically the same flavor, you can use the extra real estate to create flavor sections and blend areas, so your burger can can be a constantly changing family of familiar flavors. Plus wider is just easier to handle and eat.

Wider isn’t better than taller. And taller isn’t better than wider. Width and height need to be balanced. If it’s too wide and not tall enough, the bread-to-filling ratio is all wrong. If it’s too tall, it’s impractical to eat. If it’s both too wide and too tall, it’s too big.

Why not both?

while true it wont work for the same reason the 1/3rd pounder made to compete with 1/4er pounder failed

Those are the only ones i eat. We have 3-4 types of wide low burgers ar local hesburger and i love them for that

They all become a filthy mess eventually.
