Real question: Does the generic name help sales? Personally I avoid games like that but I know it works wonders for mobile games at least.

checked your game on steam, these kinds of games is what i crudely refer to as garbage, but i understand why it is a big effort to build a game by yourself (i once build snake and it took an entire day!) i hope this is your steppe stone to a future in AAA games

Assuming you make about £1.40 per copy (Steam takes about a third, right?) then you made a 3-month salary. Granted, that's in the first few days of sale, and hopefully sales continue, but presumably they'd slow down. How long did it take you to make the game? Not trying to bash you or anything. I'm in the software business myself (though not gaming), just wondering what kind of ROI you're getting for your time.
