Plot twist - Every Roomba is controlled by an enslaved person, from somewhere in a secret Room Bah prison. Also, i do not get it, what is so advanced in roombas, they build a map of a room and then plot a basic path, that and obstacle avoidance.

*looks at roomba stuck under table* Yeah i think we’re fine for a while What exactly are your roombas doing, more than creating a local map and cleaning it systematically? Not that that would be exactly easy

If see thing do turn left. Roombas basically just look for anything in their path and are told to not get close to it.

I'm reading the comments and everyone is forgetting some important parts of this: (I do not own a Roomba, mine is from a competitor) - Dynamic Room mapping (includes moving objects like People or pets passing by); - Calculation of the areas based on the first "exploratory round"; - Determination of the most efficient cleaning path based on areas, obstacles, battery percentage, selected cleaning mode; - Floor type/ carpet sensing; (which ties in with the previous point; - Reading and utilizing the floor sensors, wall sensor, edge sensor, ultrasonic range finder and mapping sensor. Although it saves the previous map + layout it always does an "exploratory round" to update any differences and calculate from there. For example, a door to a room is closed, which was open "last time", a piece of furniture was moved, etc..
