I had a douche named Brad in my circle social who used to always trot out a french phrase here or there and he fronted like he spoke french. He used to say "I was raised in Europe" yada yada yada... Then, our circle social got a French exchange student and we are all hangout out. Brad starts with his bullshit and then the French Student perks up and starts speaking French to Brad. Brad immediately switches to English and tries to play it off. French student later lets us know Brad was full of shit and that his French was gibberish. Turns out Brad's "being raised in Europe" was in fact a 2-week vacation he had once upon a time.

The most obvious fact is to say "in Europe". Dude, if you were actually in Europe you would say the name of the country, not the fucking continent.

I’m from Ireland. A cousin of mine, also born in Ireland, her family got a holiday home in Spain when she was about 10, and she would have spent about 2 months there each year. I saw her on Tinder one time, her bio: “Half Irish, half Spanish” What a bellend

So what timespan is considered "i lived there"? I was in japan for 6 months? Does it count as living there or was it a vacation?

Europe where? Switzerland Europe or Bulgaria Europe? Its much more diverse than the US.
13/10/22
And my Europe most Americans will mean Paris. And that's it.

Jup, we had a student exchange for 3 months in 10th grade with a school in France and after that a girl always pretended that she only could imagine the french word for something and tooootally forgot the german word. It was so annoying. She did it for nearly a year.

Same the other way around. I call them Laura. Laura is around 19 or 20, travels the US for a few weeks, comes back to Germany, has an awkward artificial accent and begins every sentence with „uuuuh… what’s the German word for that again…?“ and giggles. Fuck Laura.

13/10/22

13/10/22
I've lived in Europe all my life and I still can't speak french properly.
13/10/22
I lived in the US for 5 months. Can I say back when I lived in the US?
13/10/22
Also earsmus, people are such posers when they come back
13/10/22
I had this OBESE 20 year old motherfucker at work blabbing about how he used to jog insane miles in spain. As if he was fat because he moved back from spain
13/10/22
What's the problem. He lived there for 2 weeks. What he supposed to do.. die?
13/10/22
If you were born American you already hit the birth lottery. Who would even want to pretend to be from Europe?
