Ever since I got married, I had to pull out the gunk of hair my wife shed in our sink and shower drain once every 4 months or so. That can clog up the drain pretty badly if left uncleaned. The fucked up part is my wife never does it because she thinks it's gross... ALL THAT HAIR IS HER'S!
If you have cast iron pipes dont use acid, luckily draino is so weak its useless so it won't mess up pipes or solve anything. Just use bleach, it dissolves the soap scum that sticks the hair together and its a lot cheaper.
