In europe taking the bus is absolut fine no matter how rich/poor you are. I visited LA and wanted to take it, from Santa Monica to the Downtowm and everybody was like: Eww no take the car there is currently a lot of traffic so it will take around 1,5 hours...
Even some homeless mexican wanted to drive us in their "not good shape" car to the downtown because the train is for the poor. They drove us to the next train station and refused any money at all and also very friendly!
Anyway we took the train and it was cheap and fast and clean ! Very nice expierence....
Also the buses are absolute fine !
When i was 18, i was doing my diploma program. I had a sweet 150cc japanese sports bike. It was amazing. I loved it so much and was my first bike. Considering i was earning $6/hr doing part time work, it was real hard work to buy that bike.
I wasnt a popular guy in any means but i had plenty friends through mutual friends. One of them set me up on a date with this other girl. Date went fine but she was very condescending of me. Especially the fact that my motorcycle was tiny and nothing fancy like those huge sports bike.
Bitch was taking the bus to school everyday and was shitting on my bike wtf. Ill never forget that cunt.

If someone takes take about their possesions so they keep working and they don't have to spend money all the time to get the new thing I think that's an awesome quality in a human being.
But well. That's just me talking. I still wear clothing I bought 13 years ago. Ain't spending money to buy new stuff when my old things still work wonderful. My jacket is 10 years old. I don't even like the look of it anymore. But it still protects me from wind and rain like on the first day.
Altough some things are tearing since I work out.. Gotta buy new shirts and stuff in the near future. Doesn't like that really.. Spending money..
