This bravery is very fragile and depndent on luck. My friend also was so brave at one point in her life, years ago she was robbed, someone in the evening, when she was walking down the street, tried to nab her purse. She instinctively clenched her fists and didn't let go. She said the next thing she remembers was darkness. She woke up with some random folk and medical personell around her. Turs out that the guy not only knocked her out but completely broke her nose, to this day it's bended. These days, she has a different policy, if she were in the same situation, she owuld immediately let go. She no longer has any dillusion that she could handle a man's strenght in struggle.
